4 BRUMS AT DISNEY

We met The Mouse, y'all! We were full speed ahead the whole time. I have lots of pictures to share so it's highly likely there will be a Part 2 (or Part 3) to this post.

To start off, we had concerns about whether or not Delta Mae could make the 600 mile drive in one day. We left the house at 2:45 am on Sunday morning and hoped the kids would sleep most of the day. They both did great during the ride over and we couldn't believe it when we arrived at the resort just after lunch. We didn't even have a reservation scheduled for Sunday night because we didn't think we could make it that far. We got lucky and they had room for us.

After checking in, I headed up to the room to set out the kids surprise welcome boxes. Here are some pictures of the reveal.
The Welcome Boxes

Wyatt finds Buzz Lightyear.

Love his face here!

Not sure what this expression is all about.

And now she's ready for a night-night with her new Minnie Mouse.

While Brad got a little shut-eye, the kids and I took a stroll around the resort. We stayed at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. It was very well landscaped and maintained on the exterior, although I wasn't to impressed by the room. Here are some pictures from around the resort.

Our building was on Rue D'Baga Road. Loved that name!

Playing on the alligator.

Fun at the fountain.

After the stroll, we loaded up the kids and took a ferry boat over to Downtown Disney. I was immediately wrapped-up in the magic. Somehow, we managed to only spend money on supper and a yo-yo for Wyatt. Oh, and a train ride. More pics.

Delta Mae waiting for the ferry.

Delicious meal of Fulton's Crab House; fried green tomatoes topped with crab cakes.

Wyatt meets Lego Buzz Lightyear.

Is this post to long? Maybe just a bit more. The next day, we got up and headed out for breakfast at the resort then on to Magic Kingdom. And... more pics!

Our first family picture inside Magic Kingdom. It was very crowded and Cinderella's Castle was being repaired. It was impossible to get a good shot of the castle. There was a crane on every side.

Next, we used our Fast Pass to meet Mickey Mouse in the Town Square Theater. This Mickey was unlike all others because he could actually speak. Wyatt loved it! He and Mickey pretended to be airplanes and flew around the room.  Delta Mae was very uninterested.

Next, Wyatt and I rode Space Mountain! Our first thrill ride! He was hanging on tight, and I was holding onto him just as tight. Side note, I lost the contact that was in my left eye during this ride. The. First. Ride. Ugh! I was half blind the rest of the trip because I didn't pack extra.

There was an arcade at the exit of the ride so the boys did a little racing while
Delta Mae took a ride on a bulldozer.

Next Wyatt got some Mickey Ears and we headed to Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch.
Here they are being silly.

Delta Mae decided to nap while Wyatt and I went to the
Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, and Barnstormer in Fantasyland.

Delta Mae woke up from her nap and stuck with me for a bit while the boys when into Tomorrowland to watch Stitch's Great Escape and to ride Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Delta Mae and I refueled and headed back to Fantasyland so she could meet some princesses.

Being a big girl. She was thirty!

She wouldn't even give Cinderella a high-five.

Princess Aurora was just a bit gentler and soft spoken.
She was able to squeeze in a hug.

We waited in line for over an hour to meet the princesses and Wyatt managed to get a little nap in. After that, we all met up and went to the Prince Charming Regal Carousel and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin with a stop-off for some funnel cakes in between.

On our way back to Main Street the boys made their way up the Swiss Family Treehouse while I happily waited on the most comfortable rock I've ever sat on. I was exhausted! Soon after we found a spot on the sidewalk, and waited for the Disney Electrical Parade. It was awesome, however none of the pictures I took of it came out good.

We didn't have the energy to stay for fireworks. Maybe next trip we can work those in. Also, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were both closed for repairs. Oh well, maybe there will be a next time.

More Disney Trip Pics to come!
