EASTER 2017

 We had a pretty laid back Easter Weekend this year. Delta Mae had an Easter Performace at her preschool. I brought my camera but didn't realize I left the battery on the charger back at the house so I don't have any photos to document it. She looked adorable and sang beautifully. Here are a few pictures I took of her after we got back home.

So cute, right?!

Saturday rolled around. This was the day we got all of our Easter events in. We attended an egg hunt at one of our neighborhood parks, then came back home to dye eggs.

The next series of pictures makes me laugh so hard. Wyatt gave Chicken rabbit ears and she did not appreciate it.

Don't. Mess. Ha!

On to Egg Dying.

And then a little dance party before heading off to Saturday church service. =)

Happy Easter!!

EIGHT ACTIVITIES TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL SIBLING DAY

EIGHT ACTIVITIES TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL SIBLING DAY
It’s National Sibling Day + guess what?! Netflix + I have prepared a treat for you. An Activity Fortune Teller!
Do you remember these? I loved them as a kid + equally love this idea to use them as activity selectors for your kids to use on National Sibling Day. Download + print yours here. The activities include:

|| 1 || Watch Netflix
Netflix has created three great playlists, A Tale of Two Distant Ages, Sugar + Spice and Meet in the Middle, (log-in to your Netflix Kids Profile for links to work properly) that can guide you toward the perfect show selection, or you can use this Netflix Fortune Teller to pick the show! Don’t like those selections? Use their Blank Netflix Fortune Teller
to fill in your own favorites + let the fun begin.

|| 2 || Play Cheesy Head
Picture it. Your kids are wearing shower caps topped with shaving cream + they are taking turns throwing cheese balls at each other’s head. I’m laughing already. The sibling that gets the most cheese balls to stick wins.

I found the game idea here.

|| 3 || Have a Water Gun Fight
Because it’s Spring + it’s warm outside.

|| 4 || Play a Board or Card Game
Currently, our kids love to play the card games Sleeping Queens + Rat-A-Tat-Cat.

|| 5 || Go on a Nature Scavenger Hunt
There are quite a lot of these floating around Pinterest. I think we’ll be doing this one.

|| 6 || Conduct a Science Experiment
Kiwi Crate’s website has a ton of experiments you to chose from. We’ll be attempting the Lava Bowl. All that’s required is a water bottle, food coloring + Alka Seltzer tablets. Sounds pretty simple, yet fun and engaging.

|| 7 || Have a Lego Pattern Challenge
Print these pages + challenge your children to find the correct Lego colors and sizes to build the Lego Patterns.

|| 8 || Have a Cupcake Wars Bake-off
My kids have always enjoyed helping me in the kitchen. I’m taking the easy route and picking up two baking mixes, but also some sprinkles, chocolate chips and a variety of frostings and syrups so the kids can customize their cupcake. Yes. I will be the judge. #BecauseDuh

Doesn’t that sound like a day full of fun? Will you be celebrating the day with your siblings? Mine are in Texas + Mississippi, so I’m aiming to make it a great day for my kiddos here in Oregon. Enjoy your day!

EXPLORING OREGON || WOODEN SHOE TULIP FESTIVAL
I might have skipped a few weeks of photo prompt posts as part of #TheBethadilly52 challenge post, but what better week to jump back in than this one?! The prompt was Free Choice, so I’m sharing photographs from my recent visit to Wooden Shoe Farm’s annual Tulip Festival. This Festival is one of the things I most look forward to when spring arrives in Oregon. This year marks the fourth time that I’ve attended the festival + the first time my son hasn’t tagged along. I was a bit disappointed that he didn’t want to go but at least my Little Lady was excited to join me. I mean, what could be more fun than strolling through 40 acres of tulips? (Apparently, basketball + tetherball, in his opinion.)

Off we went. Many of the rows were void of any color but green because only 20% of the tulips had bloomed but I didn’t mind that at all. It was still beautiful + the festival wasn’t as packed as it had been in previous visits.

Let move along to the pretties, shall we?
