She’s a single lady no more, y’all! Our sweet Honey Chicken has stepped off into double digit life. Happy 10th Birthday, Delta Mae!
She’s a bookworm, through and through. She was encouraged to read the first Harry Potter book during her fourth grade year by her friend, Temperance. She read the first book in 24 hours and swiftly knocked the rest of the series out that week. Her ELA teacher made many other recommendations throughout the school year, too; although the only two she can remember at the moment are Where the Red Fern Grows and Bridge to Terabithia (the sad one stick with you). Most recently, she finished reading Divergent. Her appetite for reading thick, non-fiction books is a strong one.
Delta Mae’s a published author! She joined the gifted program at school this past school year and their class project was to write and illustrate a book to have published. Delta Mae’s book is titled, Layla Smith, The Little Witch, an influence of the Harry Potter series, no doubt. She’s a wonderful writer and illustrator.
Aside from reading, our 🍯 🐥 still loves crafts and all things art. And she loves to play in make-up - I think she has 3 caboodles now (ten-year old me would be so jealous).
She’s bright, in every sense of the word.
