SEAWORLD || ORLANDO

Our Discovery Cove bundle came with admission to SeaWorld Theme Park and Aquatica Water Park, so we visited those parks on each of the days leading up to the Discovery Cove grande finale. Here are some of my favorite photos of the day.

The Dolphin Adventure and Orca Encounter shows were awesome! And so was the Sea Lion and Otter spotlight, they just didn’t provide as many jaw dropping moments. I mean, who knew orcas could leap so far out of the water and do back flips?! I thought that just a dolphin thing.

I splurged and purchased Quick Queue/Reserved Seating and All Day Dining and each of the parks. I highly recommend budgeting for and purchasing those of you can do so. The reserved seating allowed us to sit at the center of the arena, in the shade and out of the soak zone. Delta Mae and I went back and watched the Orca Encounter show a second time and sat in the soak zone because we wanted to get soaked. 😁 Our final meal at SeaWorld would have cost us over $130 alone, but thankfully, we at the dining pass and paid $170 for the whole day. And Quick Queue too! It felt a bit uncomfortable passing so many people in line, but we saved ourself so much time not having to wait in lines which allowed us to ride multiple times in a row without waiting - sometimes, not even having to get up from our seats at all.

And with the PhotoKey, we collected the photos taken during most of the rides.

SeaWorld is a must do! Aquatic was fun too, although there are plenty of other water parks comparable to this one, and in closer proximity. We probably won’t return, but still had a good time while we were there.

DISCOVERY COVE || ORLANDO
To the families headed to Orlando, don’t sleep on Discovery Cove! We visited for the first time yesterday and had the best time meeting and swimming with dolphins! 🐬 Back in January when I made our reservations, I signed us up to be Trainers for the Day during our visit (Only eight per day are selected, so reserve your spot early!). Among other things, this extended our time with the dolphins, as well as allowed us the opportunity to meet four different dolphins, taking photographs with three of them. We met Marea, LaToya, Yoko, and Gertie - all as sweet and gentle as can be. Let’s get to some photos and I’ll share more about the park later.

Kisses from Marea.

Glides with Marea.

Belly up glides with LaToya.

Crazy Yoko 😝 and Marea.

Wyatt’s turn.

Mom’s turn.

Brad’s turn.
Clearly, we had a blast with the dolphins and Wyatt + Delta Mae will be strongly encouraged to pursue degrees in animal studies so they can become dolphin trainers and give me all the opportunities to swim with dolphins again. 😊

Throughout the morning, Miranda guided us to a private session at the Asian clawed otter habitat, two meet and greets, one with a sloth and another with a small member of the toucan family. We also fed the fish and sting rays at the grand reef and got a glance at a few marmosets on their island.

We were also taken behind the scenes and learned about the dolphins meal prep, feeding and activity schedules and the water filtration systems in place that keep the waters pristine.
Did I mention this was an all inclusive day resort and that the food and drinks were phenomenal?! Okay, there, I said it. Ten out of ten recommend, and buy their photos too!

The grand finale to our Spring Break Trip of 2022 did not disappoint. Thank you for the experience of a lifetime, Discovery Cove!
