CHRISTMAS 2021

Another Christmas morning in the books and this one started early. Wyatt asked for an electric guitar and Delta Mae asked for some Betsey Johnson luggage as their Santa gifts. We're happy to report Santa came through on those requests. 🎅 Both of the kids were pretty easy to buy for this year considering Wyatt's obsession with all things guitar/rock and Delta Mae's love for all things Harry Potter, not to mention her continued love for jewelry and make-up. And we got Bradley a spear. And he loved it. Here are a few photos to document our Christmas morning.
We've spent the rest of our day watching the final two Harry Potter movies and Home Alone 2, playing two new games (don't waste your money on Worst Case Scenario Card Game) and eating gumbo.

And since I didn't take any photos of myself this morning, I'll finish off this post with the photos that we used on our Christmas Card for this year.
Loving this family of mine and wishing yours a very Merry Christmas!

CHARLESTON'S WENTWORTH MANSION
Last month, Brad and I celebrated our seventeenth wedding anniversary with a road trip to Charleston, South Carolina. Because of the occasion, I wanted to stay somewhere special and I came across the Wentworth Mansion in downtown Charleston. I couldn't pass up the chance to stay in a mansion, so we booked a room months in advance and got to call her home for three nights.

The construction of the four-story 24,000 square foot mansion was completed in 1886 for the Rodgers Family.
The entrance hallway runs the width of the home and is paved with colored English tiles.
The mantel carvings are the work of Emile T. Viett, who carved them on site.
Details, details.
Original Tiffany stained glass can be found throughout the home.
Our room was on the second story and was once a sitting room.
More to come on the places we visited and dined. but we very much enjoyed our stay at the Historic Wentworth. It was so incredibly warm and inviting and full of charm. And the staff was phenomenal.
