FUNKED UP CRAWFISH BOIL
A few weeks back my brother, Brannan, decided to have a surprise birthday party for his wife, Kandace. He's pretty much got crawfish boiling down to a science, and I was thrilled that he chose to host a boil in her honor.

Me, being the bossy, celebration-obsessed sister, asked if I could do a photo booth at the party. I was given the go-ahead. =) I'm currently loving Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk, so I thought it'd be fun to create a photo booth with that song as the theme. Awesome!

I contacted a local baker and requested an Uptown Funk Themed birthday cake as well. She did not disappoint.

Cake || Monkey Kisses
Blue Fedora || Target
White Fedora || Stein Mart (not available online)
Pink Fedora and Sunglasses || Charlotte Russe

I designed all of the printables using PicMonkey, DIY-ed the tissue tassel garland, and all remaining prop items were purchased at a local $1 jewelry story. I painted the crawfish boil painting and gifted it to my brother last year. I wasn't expecting him to bring it, but I'm glad he did!

Over 130 pounds of crawfish were boiled, as well as all of the fixin's; potatoes, corn, onions, and mushrooms that were super spicy and delicious!

Continuing with more photos taken by Sam McAlister, a brilliant photographer, and long time friend of my brother. Here's the fun!

Awesome photos, right?!

The remaining photos are not as stellar, as they were taken mostly with iPhones. But hey, I'm documenting the fun, and we were certainly having fun!

Happy Birthday, Kandace! Love you, Lady!
