DELTA MAE'S 4TH BIRTHDAY FUN

Friday, July 1, 2016

Delta Mae turned  four years old this past Tuesday so I thought I'd share a little recap of what her birthday looked like. It was a day full of sugar and activities, pretty much what all four year olds crave, right? Here's how we celebrated with the Birthday Girl!

|| First Things First ||
We started the morning with Presents + Singing + Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes.

Delta Mae was so sweet when opening her gifts. She hugged a lot of her gifts and even included a Brub (brother) Hug when she opened her new lego set. She knew Wyatt would love to help her build it. She even said that I was "the best mom ever" a few times. LOVE HER!

Next, we got dressed and headed into Portland for ice cream at Salt + Straw, because a cupcake breakfast should always be followed by ice cream.

Delta Mae got her scoop of Double Fold Vanilla for free. #BirthdayGirlPerks Wyatt ordered a scoop of Honey Lavender ice cream and I ordered a much larger scoop of Pear + Blue Cheese ice cream. I taste tested them all and loved them all.

Across the street was a Blue Star Donut location so we had to stop in for some. We took them to-go and ate them at home later.

We purchased Blueberry +Bourbon, + Basil, Pina Colada, Cinnamon + Vanilla + Sugar, and The OG (Orxata Glaze). All so very delicious!

|| Children's Museum + Chic-Fil-A ||
The Portland Children's Museum was where we spent the next three or so hours. The kids spent most of their time in the Groundwork Exhibit. It's where I took this video.

I had to pull them away for lunch, but it was nearly 2:00 pm and I was starving.

I chose Chic-Fil-A (and more ice cream) for lunch and then we went back home for a birthday nap. Delta Mae slept for two hours. The Birthday Girl partied hard.
Despite how tired Wyatt appears in the photo above, he didn't nap.

|| Bowling ||
Lastly, we finished the day at the bowling alley, requested by the Birthday Girl.
Brad had been at work all day so we were happy to have him join in on some of the fun for the day. Check out this video I posted on Instagram of Delta Mae getting a spare. She was pretty excited. =)

I hope y'all have a great July 4th Weekend! Anybody else planning on putting their kids in matchy-matchy outfits and taking way too many pictures?! If you do be sure to link up with my gal, Liz, and join her Star Spangled Kids Linkup Party!

Here's where you can find my link-ups for today.
